To make the use of the MCM Joint Distribution Pedestal Bases (JDP) more efficient, it may be deemed appropriate to use them simultaneously with conventional equipment such as terminal boxes (TB). Theoretically, this can allow connections of up to 6 houses per MCM-JDP on a given project. The savings are then realized through reduced lengths of cables and as well TB are also less expensive than JDP (as they do not perform as many functions). You will find under the Line Burial and Planning section of this website, dedicated diagrams for the optimum use of the MCM-JDP.
